Harold James “Jim” Williams, age 72, of Loysville was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Pinnacle Health Select Specialty Hospital, Harrisburg.
Born August 27, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois he was the son of Bernadine Sturm Williams of Landisburg and the late Arlie H. Williams.
He graduated from William Penn High School, Harrisburg, PA. He went on later to continue his education first receiving an AA degree from HACC and then continuing to graduate from the University of Findlay, Findlay, OH.
Jim was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
He worked for his father at the Williams Brothers Painting before he accepted the call to be the pastor of the Landisburg Church of God. He returned to painting after he retired from the Landisburg Church of God.
Jim is survived by his wife Judy K. Williams of Loysville, four sons, Brian H. Williams and Christopher H. Williams both of Alabama; Douglas H. Williams of Carlisle and Matthew H. Williams of Elliottsburg; a sister Diane Losenicky of Iowa and a brother Keith Williams of Landisburg, 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by a brother Gary Williams.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 10 AM in the Nickel-Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc., 3626 Sherman’s Valley Road, Loysville followed by a memorial service at 11 A.M. with Rev. Bruce Henneman officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery, Loysville with full military honors by the Perry County Honor Guard.
