BLAIN, PENNSYLVANIA
Elwood “Woodie: Richard Bunteman, age 79 of Blain died on Thursday afternoon January 10, 2019 at the Premier Perry Village in New Bloomfield.
Born January 30, 1939 in Lancaster, PA he was the son of the late John and Mary (Schickel) Bunteman.
After graduating from high school and attending some college Elwood served in the US Army during Vietnam war serving in logistics at Fort Lee, Virginia.
He married his beloved wife Carolyn Harrison.
After his time in the service he worked at Lancaster General Hospital working in maintenance. He also worked for Caterpillar Tractor in York prior to that.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two children, Christie Lynne Byerly and Chad E. Bunteman; a sister Mary Witmer and four grandchildren and one step great grandchild. He is preceded in death by a sister Ella Frey and three brothers John Bunteman; Robert Bunteman and Eugene Bunteman.
Services will be private.
