Clyde Arthur Rohrbaugh
Clyde Arthur Rohrbaugh, age 92, of Falling Springs Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center and formerly of 328 Walnut Street Waynesboro, PA, Fairfield, Pennsylvania was called home on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the home with his family by his side.
Clyde was born in Fairfield, Pennsylvania on December 27, 1924, and was the son of the late Pauline Verona (Decker) and Paul Milton Rohrbaugh.
He was the husband of the late Cecelia Theresa (Herring) Rohrbaugh who died May 21, 2016.
He was a former member of St. Andrew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church Waynesboro, PA 17268.
He served in the U.S. Army as a PFC in WW II. He was at the evasion of Normandy. He earned the Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medical with 4 Bronze Stars, WW II Victory Medical.
He worked as a Spray Painter at Landis Tool Company Waynesboro, Pennsylvania., retiring in 1986. Prior to his work Landis Tool he worked for Adams Co. Novelty Company in Gettysburg. and short term employment with PA State Highway Company Delivered ice and newspapers
In addition to his church membership he belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Moose Lodge Chambersburg, AMVETS, Fairfield, Fairfield Fire Dept. Associate Member and Played in the Wayne Band and the Keystone Band in Greencastle, PA.
Clyde is survived by a daughter, Sue Ann, and her husband Leslie Kauffman, of Waynesboro, PA. a son,Ronald "Ron" Arthur, and his wife Cinda Rohrbaugh, of Fairfield, PA; 2 Granddaughters Shelly Liedig and husband Michael of Waynesboro; Carmen McDannel and her husband Chad of Arendtsville; 5 Great Grandchildren; Wesley, Ashley; Hannah Liedig; Bradley and Tyler McDannel Two Sister: Freda Foth in Gettysburg and Arlene Weaver of Columbus, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. He is preceeded in death by brothers Paul , Jr; Donald A.; Robert; Dale and sister Loraine Emmer
The family will recieve friends on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the funeral home from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 2 P.M. at the Lochstampfor Funeral Home, Inc., corners of S. Church and W. Second Streets, Waynesboro. Interment will follow at the Fairfield Union Cemetery with full military honors from the Nitterhouse Post VFW Honor Guard, Chambersburg.
