Barbara Ann Cox, age 66 of Landisburg died on Friday, August 31, 2019 at her home with her family by her side.

Born June 22, 1953 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Bobby B. and Faye Elizabeth (Weibley) Ernest.

She was a graduate of West Perry Sr. High School.

On August 1, 1981 she married her beloved husband Robert H. Cox.

She worked as a bookkeeper for the Bank of Landisburg until her retirement in August 31, 2018.  She had also worked for Carlisle Tire and Rubber.

She was a member of the New Hope U.C.C. Church, Landisburg.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a step son Michael A. Cox of North Carolina; 2 nieces Danielle F. McCaul and her husband Colin of Loysville; and Denise A. Boeckenhauer and her husband Daniel; 8 step grandchildren; and a sister Lori F. Mellinger and her husband Gary of Landisburg.  She is preceded in death by a sister Ruth J. Earnest.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, September 5, 2019 from 7 PM to 9 PM at the Nickel-Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc., 3626 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville and again on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the New Hope U.C.C. Church, 108 South Carlisle Street, Landisburg followed by a funeral service at 11 A.M.  Rev. Josh Craley officiating.  Interment at Restland Cemetery, Loysville.

A memorial service will also be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 1 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall, 595 Limestone Ridge Rd, Elliottsburg, PA 17024
