Ada Vivian Guyer

Elliottsburg, PA

 Ada Vivian Guyer, 89, of Elliottsburg, PA. was called home with her family by her side on  Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Cumberland Crossings, Carlisle, PA.

Ada was born in Centre Twp., Pennsylvania on May 8, 1929, a daughter of the late Charlotte (Long) and Jacob Kretzing.

She was the wife of Charles Guyer for over 65 years were married on the family farm.

She graduated from New Bloomfield High School and Harrisburg State Hospital Nursing School. She retired as a Nurse at Perry Village New Bloomfield, PA.,

She volunteered at Little Buffalo Flower Garden and helped to organize the Crop Walk. She exhibited at local fairs and won many ribbons at farm show.

Ada is survived by two daughters, Sandy Baughman, wife of Ken, Sue Guyer, both of Loysville, PA; a son, Shawn Guyer, husband of Laura, of Elliottsburg, PA; five grandchildren; Jacob Baughman and his wife Jamie; Jeffry Baughman; Julie Baughman; Patrick Guyer and Abbey Merendino and her husband John, great grandchildren Camden, Reese Merendino; 3 brothers Max Kretzing and wife Arlene; Brant Kretzing and wife Lena; Dale Kretzing and wife Ruth Ann; and 2 sister in laws Pat Kretzing, Adelaide Kretzing. Ada is preceded in death by brothers and sister Ernie; Perry; Don and Eleanor Mae Kretzing.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 9:30 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the Mannsville Lutheran Church, 2944 Mannsville Road, Elliottsburg, PA 17024 with funeral service to follow with Rev. George Martz officiating.  Interment in Elliottsburg Cemetery.
